PKDDS
Personal Kinetic Drone Defense System

A compact, defensive counter-drone concept designed to give soldiers and civilians a last line of protection against small hostile drones at short range.

Small, low-cost drones have become a defining threat in the war in Ukraine. We stand in solidarity with Ukraine and with everyone working to protect people on the front line and at home. PKDDS is our contribution to that effort: a purely defensive and efficient system.

Detect · Track and Steer · Intercept

A high-level overview of the concept. Technical specifications will only be shared with qualified partners and authorities.

[ 01 ]

Detect

Sensors watch the immediate surroundings and raise an alert when a small drone approaches.

[ 02 ]

Track and Steer

The sound of an approaching FPV drone is frightening and makes clear decisions harder. While the operator holds the platform, the Auto Aiming Device steers the kinetic platform onto the drone, so the operator only has to decide whether to disable the threat.

[ 03 ]

Intercept

At short range, the drone is stopped with kinetic means before it can reach the people being protected.

A personal shield against small drones

Defensive by design

PKDDS is intended only to protect people and positions from incoming small drones - not to attack.

Personal scale

Aimed at a portable form factor that a single person can carry and operate, or a team can share, so it travels with the people it protects.

Built for real conditions

Development goals focus on reliability, simple operation and safety for operators and bystanders.

No challenge is unsolvable.

My software background, including AI and detection algorithms, is what makes the core problem solvable: reliable auto-aiming on a handheld device.

Beyond software, I work hands-on with hardware through 3D printing and build tools for production pipelines.

I also have experience with firearms, and I know first-hand how difficult it is to engage a moving target. That is exactly why PKDDS relies on auto-aiming: the device does the tracking, so people can focus on staying protected.
